Bicolor Blenny disturbing corals?

One of my corals won't open and another is dying.This all started when I introduced a Bicolor Blenny.

One of them is a Chalice Hollywood and the other I don't remember the name, but it's a Montypora.

I have had multiple blennys in my tank for multiple years with no issues. Do you see the fish nipping at the corals? They usually like a hidy hole to back into.

I occasionally see him bite corals, but it seems to be done by accident because there is algae near the coral.

Well that make sense. Perhaps other factors are affecting your corals. Algae on corals is a sign of weakness in their health.

I think you misunderstood me. I meant there was algae near the corals, not on the corals.

Oh, until now that I look at the coral it seems that indeed, it has some algae.

Oh ok then maybe he is just brushing up on them as he tries to nibble algae near them

Ok so that may be an indicator of a problem because healthy corals do not typically have algae inside them. Around the hard stock yes occasionally but not inside the fleshy area.

I have a bicolor blenny that has nipped several corals to death.
