Starting off at 75% while I play around with their position and programming.
I use this (werkkrew) I uped the percentages for my tank and like it I set the other one to inverse
I to have Vortechs and think with this combo it works out well as I too can push a wave out of my tank if I feel like it

Thanks. I'll give that a shot.

Ok trying it out and seems like a good program. I think it will fit well in my philosophy of getting random flow throughout my acros

I tuned the Tunze down to 75% max and 36% min. This results in a flow that is still strong but with out the splashing and vortices that suck down air. The top of the water looks like there is a hurricane over it though, I love it. Flow is getting everywhere.

I can see the extended polyps of my SPS fluttering randomly in the flow. This is great.

So the WAVs look like this

And the slave runs inverse of the one above. My Tunzes do basically the same thing.

I also just harvested another overflowing 5 gallons of chaeto from the fuge. I've noticed some on the surface going pale. I'm thinking this is due to my PO4 being 0. I'll keep feeding heavy and watch my coral color for changes. If needed I can add some Seachem Phosphorus.

I think I have it set up right, I updated it saying the tank is 180.

Here is a video showing the crazy action at the top of my tank. And this is just a random moment, there are times I'm unsure it's not going to splash water everywhere.

I thought it would just be more clear if I made another video showing locations.

Here are my settings and programs.

WAV pump, second WAV runs inverse of this one

Tunze 6105's have several programs that vary the patterns of flow through out the day. Since there is no preprogrammed type wizard for them like the WAVs or Vortechs I had to create them all on my own with some trial and error. All programs syncs the two pumps and I programmed to also run inverse of each other like the WAVs. That's how I can get buy with 100% intensity. They are not running 100% at the same time. I feel like this gives a very varied flow now that I have added the WAVs. Now that I've spent a couple days trying different modes and positions I think it's about as perfect as it will ever be. Multiple pumps running at varied speeds in several different directions.

Here is an example of my Tunze "blast mode" lol.

Hey just so u know (and maby u already do) but on the wavs U have to set the one as in inverse but then click down the tab on the far right to make it an inverse of the other wav

For some reason mine didn’t do this and my left wav was just ramping up and down every three seconds. My tank was making a weird clicking sound that I couldn’t figure out here it was my left wav clicking every three seconds as it was not an inverse of my right wav t was just “inverse”

Hope u didn’t make the same mistake as me

There is a lot of flow but it's very manageable and does a real good job. Everything seems happy with it.

100% I love it

I feel like I kind of need this amount of flow. For one I'm running the Kessil AP700 at 100% and also a couple T5s. That's putting 500, almost 600 PAR actually at the depth and positions many of my acros are at so they need the flow for metabolizing. My next challenge is balancing my NO3 with PO4 to ensure the best color and growth. Right now I am about 5-8ppm NO3 and ~.03-.05 PO4 and that has worked up until now running max light and flow. So I have started to add Acropower to the system every night to ensure nutrition needs are met with less solid food use and waste to maintain premium water quality. I started with full 60ml dose and adding half each might.

I have several acros that I can almost see growing and others that are taking their sweet time.

Has been a long time since I have updated. Currently all is very well and will be posting some pictures. I have had another aptasia outbreak that I am currently treating with nudi but they haven't put much of a dent in them yet. Plan to convert this build to a Red Sea Reefer XXL 750 in now in the works.
