Big question for a smart answer

So my white cheek tang has ich, which means a the other fish in my tank have it to right? I mms going to take out the tang and qt for 11 weeks with cupermine. If the other fish havent shown any signes of icn do they need to be qt too? Because I will. Im not losing this battle

Most likely.. YES> they have been exposed to the parasite. If the parasite reproduced in your tank, they it can be in there in a form that is not yet visible to you. Any fish can host it but normally healthy fish can overcome it and never show signs. then at a stress event, it is there.

now, if you dont treat them. and the tang goes back in.. and the parasite is still there, his stress and a weakened immune system may allow the parasite to thrive and again.. ich.

So, if you dont want to treat your other fish, then keep the tang in QT for 8-12 weeks. if no signs in other fish, then give it a shot.
