Bio pellets vs refugium in 50 Gal. What do you guys think?

I went the fuge route in mine in chamber 1. Honestly worked so well for 2 years straight. I got lazy and didn’t trim my cheato it bottomed out my nutrients and now I got Dino. But it was due to my own laziness. But a fuge is the way to go in my opinion.

If nitrate is the only issue, then biopellets. If nitrate and phosphate are the issue (and/or pH), then refugium
