Hm, I’m left scratching my head. Lost my sixline today. I’ve had him over 2 years. 4 days ago he didn’t come out of the little cave he sleeps in when I put food in. The day before he was out and about eating like a pig. Over the past few days he would come out for a few seconds and return to his cave. He looked normal except breathing fast. I know it is not lack of oxygen as I have plenty of surface agitation and a skimmer. Last fish I put in the tank was my tailspot back in Nov/December. The rest have been in the tank a long time. I can rule out anything toxic getting in the tank as all the other fish and inverts are fine. He was a heavy smoker and drinker and I heard rumors from a couple of the other fish that he might have been doing drugs. I’m at a loss.
