I got a Red Sea LED 50 and am planning to take off the hood on my biocube 32. How do I do it without destroying it?

You can actually just remove lid without modifying tank or trying to remove rim, just pry out the hinge pins with a small screwdriver..

I ran my 16 gallon BioCube with no skimmer for a while. Once I started using a skimmer I noticed a vast improvement in water quality and clarity.

Clarity is huge for me rn so I’m gonna get one. Where did you put it in the Biocube?

Do you recommend a skimmer for the Biocube?

Its not really necessary and most of the ones that fit inside filter chamber are not that effective. I run the old air stone version in my Biocube but I don't collect skimmate with it, just use it to provide gas exchange.

Just feel I need a little more clarity in my water. I have a wave maker pointed at top of water for constant gas exchange but there’s many particles in the water floating and bubbles on top of the water. Skimmer would clear that up...

Skimmer-yes
Icecap K1 or icecap K250
