Title says it all. Im going to be adding a BR-70 to my system tomorrow and i dont have room under my tank to put it. The one chamber of my sump that would work is too deep and i dont want to mess with building a stand for it. So just looking for inspiration.

Thanks

I have mine in the sump I see no reason you can’t just set the reactor on the bottom. There is no need for a stand.

If i put it im my sump the water level will be above the inlet. I am going to put it behind my stand. I have a gap big enough it will allow me to push it back behind the stand and when i need to add pellets or whatever i will be able to slide it out.

And why is the water level being above the inlet a problem? In fact if it were below the inlet the reactor would run dry?

Its not a problem i just didnt want water that high on the outside of it. Were i put it is working great the inlet sits higher than the water level now pump does a fine job of keeping it from running dry.

wherever you put it, just try to get the output of it close to the intake of your protein skimmer pump if possible.

Oh yeah i got the output of the reactor feeding the front opening of the skimmer. Nothing will by.

I am picking up a used CPR bakpak and I am going to see if the smaller bullet on ebay will fit inside - looks like it will on the "media" side of the tank. If it does this maybe my hack for $10 I can take the gamble. I am going to put some chaeto in the tank as well in a plastic moss cap - this way it wont potentially block the output and cause a flood. I will update with pic if this comes to fruition.
