I know a lot of folks don't like them because they can strip the water column [and other forms of carbon dosing are more popular now].

But I got me to wondering... is a ULNS tank a valid concern for bubbletips? I have seen them do fine in pristine SPS tanks, and in dirty LPS tanks. They can clearly thrive in a wide variety of environments.

Just curious what experience folks on here have had keeping bubbles in ULNS and similar tanks. Thanks....

Bump again. I would love to know as well. Really thinking about adding biopellets to my system. I cannot get my nitrates below 50ppm.

Anyone? I guess let me reword this.

In a ULNS there is a risk of damage to SPS (and other softer corals). Would there be a risk of damage to gbta and rbta?
