I went to order a fish from biota today only to see that the shipping is $172? Is it normally that high? I have never paid more than $50 or $60 for shipping so I'm kinda shocked at why it is $172 for the cheapest shipping option? I would love to be able to buy aquacultured fish from them but there is absolutely no way I can justify paying $172 for shipping.

This would have been my first time purchasing from them. They ship out of Florida and I am in Tennessee so I'm not sure why it is that high.

Apologies for that our UPS rates broke for a few days in early February because we negotiated slightly lower rates. The site should be back to normal now.

When in doubt look on the vendors portal and see what communication options they have. Some have live chat options, some contact us, others email and/or phone. It is super easy to contact them and ask the question(s).

Just a bit of advise.
