Just curious about Biota yellow tang. Would it be too cold to have one shipped to KY now and I wonder how much shipping would be. Never bought a fish or coral online before.

@Biota_Marine is a member here. They may take a day or two to reply, but they usually follow up here.

You can reach out to them directly, I've had very good luck with their customer service, though I've placed just one livestock order and one dry goods order only.

Good luck!

Thank you for the Tag Fish Fan,

We ship throughout all seasons. We use a 1.5" thick styrofoam cooler for all of our shipments and an appropriate number of heat packs pending on both the final destination and the UPS hub pass through so you should be confident ordering from us even during the winter or summer months. We will however sometimes contact you to hold back a shipment if there's a storm or we have early congestion warnings from UPS.

Shipping is calculated directly from UPS on our site during checkout based on the items in the cart and your location but is usually around $40-60ish, during the holiday season they sometimes surcharge a bit more.

Just got the same fish here in NY two weeks ago, was also concerned about it being too cold. They did a great job on making sure he had a safe trip. My wife was home when the delivery got here so she floated him for 20 or so minutes then dropped him in an isolation box in the tank. Super happy fish, ate well right from the start. Flakes, small pellets and frozen brine shrimp.
The small size tang was more white then yellow at first but his colors are starting to develop very nicely. Very satisfied customer , highly recommend
