Birds nest can be temperamental but if flow, lighting and parameters are good it should do well.
I have one that started bleaching due to a spike in Phos with Alk up in the high 9's and I thought for sure it was going to die. It recovered and is growing good now. All I did was dip it for pests (Coral RX) then a week later in Iodine (desperate to help it) and got all the parameters back in line and kept everything stable.
