I added a small clownfish to replace the one that passed. Also, won a couple auctions from Cali Kid Corals!

Thought I would do an update since it has been a while. I have some hair algae growing on the rocks and quite a bit of what I believe is cyano. Did some tests tonight and Nitrate is 0, Phosphate is .03, which I'm assuming is due to the algae growth. Going to stop by LFS tomorrow and beef up the clean up crew since mine only consists of two trochus snails. I'm going to give it a week or two and see if I can get some results before taking more drastic measures.

Unfortunately, I found that this tank had dinos. I believe starting with dead rock and bare bottom were the issues. Before this, my only experience was real live rock and a sand bed. I sold off the tank and took a break. A family member gave me a 10 gallon that has been running for a few years now. I also bought a second hand 30 gallon that is up and running for just under a year. I have had some success with both.

Here is a picture of my 10 gallon. I love this tank. It has quite bit of bubble algae, but it doesn’t bother me. I just pick off what I can when I do a water change.
