bite marks??

so ive had this piece of acro for about 2 months now and i havent really had any growth or anything compared to my other pieces and tonight while moving stuff around i unmounted it and so before i put it back i was inspecting it and there appears to be something like a weird star shape pattern on its backside and theres a hole on the other side like maybe a bite mark or a scratch or something i was just looking on insight on what it could be if i should be worried or not also i have this weird growth i feel on one of the tips and idk why its doing this either

Thoes are barnacles, harmless. And the gouge could be from anything from a fish nip to the start of a localized bacterial infection. Make sure the center of it is not mushy skeleton. If it's hard it should be ok if the flesh of the acro is not receding. I see no bitemarks but doesn't mean they aren't in the tank, check all acros for bitemarks if your worried about aefw.

well thank you for the id on it :) lol just a barnacle and none of my other acros have marks but i wanted to make sure and not be sorry but incase i did dip it the inside wasnt mush so im good there
