Black and white Ocellaris/Percula?

Hey everyone!
I have a question about black and white clowns! I went to the LFS yesterday and picked up what i was told was a black and white percula. But after looking some stuff up on the internet ive only found black and white ocellaris. Was i told the wrong thing? Another question I had was will and B&W and normal Percula/Ocellaris pair/breed, or will the different coloring make them incompatible?

Thats what i thought because of that middle stripe. But i wasnt sure and im too new in the reef game to come to a conclusion lol

should be compatible with any occy or perc line of clowns. when pairing, I would be more concern on the size. bigger = most likely will be the female; smaller = most likely will be the male.. good luck. :)

Yeah i plan on getting a ocellaris of equal size and letting them figure out who will be the female and who will be the male.

I'd get one slightly smaller, otherwise it can take a while and alot of nipping. If the current one is already comfortable and getting established, it will assert its dominance to the new clown anyway, so make the translation smoother by adding a male and just assume yours is a female. unless its less than 1.75 inch and it isn't alone for more than a month.

Yeah this one is currently in a quarantine tank so it has nothing to have dominance over. Also its not close to the inch and 3 quarters so i think if i get them in the display at the same time all will be ok. i hope lol

Found out that it isnt really either percula or ocellaris...Its actually called a Darwin Clownfish, but more connected to the ocellaris if either of them.
