Hello! I’m fairly new to reefing and to this website. Recently I added some cloned bubbletip nems to my 20 gallon (established for a year now) for my ocellaris clownfish pair. They went unnoticed for a month before my clowns suddenly became obsessed with them 10 days ago. 9 days ago I noticed two pearl-like white bumps on my female clownfish’s top fin. They have remained there in the same spot and haven’t multiplied so far, but I am nervous about it being more than just irritation from rubbing on the nem. She is eating and acting normally otherwise. Should I be concerned? Could it be ich? Lymphocystis? Mucus?
Parameters are 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and 5ppm nitrate and always stay there every week. It’s a bit difficult to take photos since she never stays still. Thank you for your help!

Ich will never be like that.

It’s looking like Lymphocystis. Usually goes away on its own with a good healthy diet. Yes there are dry food that have a ton of fillers.

Look at spectrum, or a bit pricey Easy Reef DKi 1.3 with B-glucan good for the immune system.

Thank you! That’s good to know. I’ve been feeding her frozen hikari bio-pure brine shrimp mixed with mysis, but she seems to try and only pick out the brine most of the time.

Not all fish are the same. Have a pair of maroons. The female eats anything. The male mysis, and the expensive for the amount you get DKI 1.3 food. And the tangs have no mercy haha.

As long as a fish eats its all good, most of the time. Amount that is being eaten is what you want to keep an eye out for. 👍🏽
