Just found my black clownfish dead. We had him for about 3 years with another orange and white clown . No signs of distress. I believe the previous owner had him for 3-4 years as well so he was approximately 7+ years old . Anything amiss from these photos? Other two fish in the tank seem fine and acting as they usually do.

There is no good way to see anything on a dead fish not in water unfortunately (unless it's an obvious injury - which I don't see). Did you add anything new (fish, coral, rock, etc). Do you have any other fish in the tank. I would be watching carefully for any other signs of disease - if you did add something else recently without quarantining.

Edit - PS - I assume your parameters are ok?

I see no signs of aggression however I see the blemishes on the white portions of body. Where they there prior to this event? If so, we are seeing bruising on mainly white clowns and may be bacterial in nature. What I can say is that it either improves or worsens as in your case may have developed then worsened. Sorry for the loss
