I have the same problem with my parents, if I remove the pot prematurely and try and place it back with the parents they will eat the eggs. What I have found is getting a really really really really small power head and placing it in the hatch tank on hatch night gives me much more success because it keeps the eggs moving as if daddy was right there..

I have been using air tubing to pump air across the eggs for aeration and movement.

I heard that was a bad idea cause you can trap air bubbles inside the eggs

I used an air stone the first time but the bubbles were too big and were tossing the eggs around violently. This time I'm going to use a wooden air diffuser, hopefully the air bubbles aren't too small this time. I can't use just the airline because the clutch is about 2" wide and I won't be able to aerate them all.

My buddies started laying last night!!! We're gonna raise them too. A really dark premium black ice male and a nice and fat darwin female.

How long have you had that black ice? Can't be more than 8 months

Yea I'll take some pics tonight or tomorrow. Been busy. But I have only pulled one dead larvae out so far. Much greater success than the 1st batch I tried.

I think like 60% hatched. More would have hatched the next night but I put the pot back in with the parents and either they ate them or they hatched in the broodstock tank and were not recovered. But around 60% of the eggs left on night 8 were hatched and are currently in my larval tank. 50-60 rough guess.
