What’s the best black sand to use in a reef tank?

If you have pics of your tank with black sand please post them

I should also mention I plan on keeping many wrasse

For me, there isn't any "best," because all the black sands I've seen have a ferrous component that gets picked up by you mag-cleaner and now scratches your glass/acrylic.

I have used a couple of magnetic cleaners with no issues of it picking up the sand...until I purchased the flipper, and now I agree with you, it does pick it up! Must be a stronger magnet then the cleaners I used in the past. I will be more careful cleaning in the future.

I plan on running a couple of string earth magnets through it before hand

I use caribsea Hawaiian black in both of my tanks. No pics handy though
