Picked these two up today. In Qt now. I’ve wanted these since I started my new tank. They’ve been $599 at my LFS. I stopped in today and he had them for $349 a pair. I currently have a pair of frost bite clowns in my 245 DT. So I think I’m going to give them there own tank. Either a 25 lagoon I use for coral Qt or a 40b I use for fish QT. After I sterilize the tank. Maybe with a BTA. Can’t wait to QT is over.

Nice clowns. And in a 245g tank where may be enough room for 2 pair of clowns... maybe... still iffy. But if your current clowns hang out at one end and you introduced the new ones at the other end in a clear box or container, you could see if the original clowns pay any attention to the new ones. But at the price you paid, I'd never try just releasing them into the 245g tank.

I was at RAP in Orlando over the weekend and got 2 Wyoming White clowns for my 40g cube. I thought $30 each was a pretty darn good price. I can't imaging spending $175 each for a fish! Good luck.

Great find! I also set up a IM nano just for my pair of black storms last year. I did not want to risk putting them in my 250 and getting lost. They started hosting LTA first night and now the female has tripled in size in a year. Paid $499 for the pair and they were tiny less then 3/4”.
Now the female is about 2”.

Thanks, I was thinking there might be room. But I’m worried I’ll come home from work and one will be dead. My frost bites do stay on one side though. The clear box is a great idea. When I added a spot breast angel multiple fish where bulling him. I tried multiple mirrors. Even spent hours trying to protect him with my coral feeding stick. I finally had to let it play out. They left him alone after a day. But it was hard to watch. Some how I felt like $349 was a good deal with the price drop...lol. And really so many fish are just plain expensive now. I’m hoping these live 10 years plus.

Beautiful! That’s exactly was I was thinking. And this just makes my mind up. IM 25 lagoon it is. I’ll just set up another coral QT.

Beautiful clowns! Is that a lonely orange spot on the nose I see? :)
It is! I really like there look with it. They had 3 pairs and only these two had the small orange spot. I’ll get a better picture once there out of QT and under real lights..lol.

Cute! One looks very unique. The $349 price tag wouldve been out of my budget though. I seen them under $100 just a week ago when I ordered my orange storms.

Thanks...definitely not a easy buy. Really under a $100 .. where they really small? One of the pairs my LFS had were really small and he said that’s all his wholesaler had left. They sold out with the price drop. And even they were $349. The pair I bought the LFS had 6 months. He claims he’s taking a loss on them since he bought when prices were high.

50! Nice...Stop bragging...lol. I don’t think there’s a clown I don’t like. Wish I could have multiple pairs in a tank. I seen some long finned clowns for the first time at the LFS. Really different.
