My blasto after being here over a month looks stressed this morning. The polyps are slightly retracted and I see this tissue in between the heads. Is this normal?

Alk cal and mg are all normal

My nitrates and phosphates

2ppm and 0.02ppm

If you test for alk, cal and mg, please post the numbers.

That seems pretty low for phosphates in particular.

IMO if you're doing anything to lower phosphates specifically (eg. GFO) stop doing it.

And/or slow or stop doing other general nurtient exports such as water changes.

Keep PO4 ≥ 0.10 ppm and NO3 ≥ 5 ppm (even higher is OK too) for a while and see if things seem to turn around.

Of course make sure that flow and other general conditions continue to be optimized as needed too.
