Bleached coral

Does anyone know why my coralaline algae has started bleaching? We just did a 2 day blackout and added a UV sterilizer because of dynoflagilates.

No, but going to get a test kit now. We inherited the tank and trying to get everything we need. Will post when we get it done.

If you have dinos, then the probability is very high that you have no residual, measurable, nutrients in the system.
Salifert for measuring nitrates.
Hanna ULR for phosphates.

Inherited tank, was everything kept wet or did some of it dry durning transport? My coraline always bleaches right where i bring my water line down to on water changes

Hmm... could be stress related to being moved and set up again... coraline is persistent, it'll be back :)
