I have a new purple firefish that has what looks like a blister on his side. Anyone ever seen anything like this? I tried to get a picture but he swam into the rocks. I will try to get one when he comes out.

The pictures look like there might be more that aren't as prominent. Could out be damages from shipping? He seems healthy swimming around and only hiding when startled. He just ate too so no problems there.

Definitely not black. They honestly look just like blisters. Like its just some soon that will come off eventually.

Do you have an air stone in your tank, or anything that could put a super huge amount of oxygen in the water? I had something similar on an engineer goby...I think it's called gas bubble disease, it was caused by too much oxygen in the water. Once I removed my air stone it went away on its own...sorry if this is kind of scatter brained, trying to pass the time while the wife shops an I'm trying not to walk into things lol
