hello , I was wondering if there such thing as a blue bubble tip anemone?

I would love a blue one, but have never seen one. The purple passion is a cool one that is all purple with green tips, but not blue. Blue of course would make a perfect compliment to orange clownfish, so I would assume there would be high demand if they ever came on the scene.

+1 on the purple passion being beautiful and probably as close to blue as bubbletips get. Now carpets on the other hand have plenty of intense blues

I will say the pink tipped BTA I got from a user is pretty close to blue colored under my lights. In blues or whites.

Not a great picture

I think this BTA’s color will contrast very well with the orange-yellow of a Clownfish. I have seen it from vendors occasionally.

I have seen it or similar on three vendors and Diver’s Den. Prices ranged $49-129 if I recall. Not an expensive one.

I know this post is extremely old now but there's actually a (what I consider to be) blue BTA at my local Petco, so I guess they do exist? Unless this is considered to be green? Also this is under mainly white light.

Does a bta like that turn more of a dark green or rich lime green?

I had a bleached one like yours ages ago and the oral disk and tentacles turned a rich tan/ brown color when it regained its symbiotic algae. Time will tell what color but i would say greenish brown

I agree. Usually brownish green, sometimes army green. Unfortunately they're never a bright highlighter green like we see with haddoni.
