Scientific Name - Chrysiptera cyanea

Common Name - Blue Damselfish (Blue Devil)

Size - 3.1" (8 cm)

Min. Aquarium Size - 30 US Gal. (114 L)

Foods and Feeding - Varied diet for carnivores, omnivores, herbivores, including live, frozen, and flake fare. Feed min. 2 times a day.

Reef Compatibility - Excellent.

Captive Care - May graze on some algae. Aggressive as it matures, will pick on more docile tank mates, a pair can be kept in a smaller tank, a group can be kept in a medium to large tank, does not live well with Cardinalfish, Gobies, Firefish, Blennies (very aggressive towards these fish). Needs plenty of hiding places. Unless a large tank is used house only one male per tank. Will spawn in captivity. Males will have a blue tail with dark border (Indonesia), bright orange tail other areas, female's tail is clear. This is a hardy fish and acclimates well to captive care, will eat most anything offered.
