wow! I've never seen one do that......usually they just melt away.

i had a beautiful blue nudibranch that came in on a frag and after it ate the entire coral it died of starvation :(
 
Yeah never seen that before. Lighting might be too high? For me I keep them in the middle and towards the bottom of my tank and even under normal lighting they are bright blue/green
