Blue legged hermit crab

Hey, I had 2 blue legs in my 32 gallon biocube and one just died unexpectedly. Woke up to it dead in the sand out of its shell. Both have been eatting and I have extra shells in the tank. I dose iodide to try and help with molting - any advice or help? I dont wanna keep buying them if they die fast but I do really like the little guys. I know things happen but still sad!

Pretty sure, it was rather meaty. Oh, and I dont have a fish big enoigh to do the deed. Just a 1 inch watchman goby.

So I was wrong and learned something today- it was a molt! I did not know hermit crab molts kept their color! Ive been used to freshwater shrimp molts and expected the molt to be clear like theirs but was wrong. Now I know and am so glad they're both ok!
