Hi new here am hoping anyone can id this crab was bought as blue legged hermit clearly not. Concern is it has already gotten into the largest shell i own wondering if it is safe? also is hitchhiker on rock aiptisia? thanks any help here

Your rock hitchhiker is a feather duster. Harmless filter feeder.

The crab just looks like a run-of-the-mill hermit crab ( I don't know the specific species of it) I wouldn't worry about it.

oh thanks! i just dont want it to get larger, already in the biggest shells i have 1.5" i hope thats max size
