Does anyone have this soft coral? I just purchased this from cultivated reef and am waiting for it but would like to see pictures please, I’m hoping it’s as beautiful as it looks in the picture I have heard it’s just a blue Kenya tree basically

Very similar, does not drop and spread like crazy though.

That's the most recent photo I have on my phone, I will get a better one when I'm home.

i've heard kenya's can be a little difficult to place corals near so just don't affix it until you see how they react together. I have mine right next to a sinularia with no problem from either though.

Very easy to care for. AKA Blue Capnella.
This specie will drop branches also like the common Kenya Tree.
Beautiful coral

Beautiful coral
I just got it today, is this normal? Did it look like this when you received it?

Is this what your looked like when you first got it? I just got mine today it has been in my tank for a little over three hours, I’m just wondering if I should be worried

I had one... until I found dropped branches in several spots in my tank. Since been removed...
It's normal for it to look like that when you get it. Be patient as it will take time for it to acclimate. Mine looked like that for a good 3-4 days, then it just perked up and looked great.
Just don't move it around... moderate flow/moderate light will do well for this coral.

Normal to look like this initially in my experience. My Solomon went from a frag your size to this size without dropping once. I guess I've just been lucky. All the research I did before buying it told me it doesn't drop, that held true for me but I see a lot of people saying it does recently.

Sorry, need to clean my glass.

There are various subspecies of capnella. Not all of them drop branches. The "pineapple" (the kind that have branches that contract into a lobe) capnella blue/green appear to be among the type that don't. The photos of the two adult colonies people listed above look like the pineapple type. Probably why they never dropped branches. I have had blue/green capnella that has fully polyps branches but it didn't drop babies either.
