Hi All,
Just over a week ago, I inherited this lovely 130l Aquaone tank with all of its inhabitants. It’s basically a forest of Kenyan Tree Coral, a few Rhodactis mushrooms, some Xenia, starry polyps, and a hammer coral.

Everyone has settled in really well. When I got given it, it was absolutely lagged in hair algae: plastering the rocks, covering the mushrooms and smothering the Kenya tree bases.
Little by little I’ve been brushing the algae away. I’ve given it a 50% water change using RO + Red Sea Pro Salt as that’s what was used before, monitoring parameters and dosing with All-for-reef when needed.

However, this one Kenya tree the past couple of days has closed up, and is more purple compared to the others.

This particular Kenya tree is in the middle so maybe it’s receiving too much light?

I’m due to move house this month so I am hoping to just keep everyone happy and clean until I can move in and properly place everyone.

Any advice is appreciated :)

How are the water parameters looking?

Has that coral in particular been damaged in any way?

Quite possible during transport…

Current parameters:
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 2
pH 8
Alkalinity 8.45
Calcium 385
Magnesium 1110

That looks good to me, I'd just keep an eye on it. They're very resilient corals, it should recover if it isn't continuously being stressed out.
