I have a small frag of blue plating sponge on my sand bed and its grown some hair algae on it that is beginning to smother it. Is there a safe way of getting this hair algae off? I assume peroxide is a no go with sponges... pulling it off sponge frags in the past usually ends with ripping the sponge itself off. If anyone has a good way of getting algae off of a sponge I'm all ears! Thanks.
