Sponge Growing on Porites

Thought this would be interesting to post.

My porties was getting irritated by some vermetids that starting growing on it, I decided to try and glue the snails up and allow the coral to grow over them. During the process I discovered a sponge that had somehow found its way onto the bottom of the frag and started growing. Pictured below is the sponge, also please ignore the algae in the background (im working on it..)
