Scientific name- Cephalopholis argus

Common name - Peacock Hind (Blue spotted Grouper)

Size - 16.5" (42 cm)

Min. Aquarium size - 180 US Gal. (681 L)

Foods and feeding - Meaty foods, marine fish and crustacean flesh. (Feed 2-4 times a week).

Reef compatibility - Will eat fish tank mates and ornamental crustaceans.

Captive care - A predator that spends much of its time hiding, can be kept with other groupers, only one peacock hind per tank, needs plenty of swimming space, requires several good shelter sites, greedy eaters and large waste producers requiring adequate filtration systems, can be housed in shallow or deep water reef tanks but, will eat fish and crustaceans.
