I have a small 60 gallon “cube“ aquarium. Parameters are all within range. Prior to this past weekend my blue spot jawfish quilting coming out of its little burrow. I thought it may have died so on Saturday I cleared away the gravel and it eventually pokes out from underneath the adjacent rocks. Now it’s gone again for a few more days and I’m wondering if I should check again or leave it alone. I don’t see the fish when I feed the tank either.
Anyone experienced the same scenario?. Thanks

If you have a small flashlight (I just one with a blue light) it's occasionally helpful for spotting the "recluses". It could be that it's just found the "ultimate" burrow.
thanks. I'll see if that helps.

Worst-case scenario if you're really concerned do take a peek. Just be prepared to suffer the wrath of your jawfish for disturbing his burrow!
I had to poke around but he’s still in there. Did not come out, just looked at me through the hole I created.
