I don't notice my blue corals with my blue lights on, when the white are on I see nice blue though. Maybe your blue is there too.

Many of the blue colored Acropora (with the obvious exception of some of the torts) are members of the species A. tenius. These corals are notorious for changing colors under different nutrient, flow and lighting conditions. For me, they color up best under moderate nitrates (approx 5-10 ppm) and moderate light intensity (PAR 250-300).

When I first put in my blue monti it just was so pretty and now it fades a bit. Although it does say low lighting. My nitrates are low at 1 ppm. Phosphates are a bit high.

You need lots green, yellow and red light to make blues really stand out. Most tanks with poor looking blues run too much blue-only light and not enough white/daylight.

Yep, my blue acros look incredible but my tank runs much closer to old school tanks with the amount of blue lighting. My Heart of the Ocean is incredibly blue but even more ordinary blue acros look great. The pinks in my tank don’t stand out very well though.
