Blue Tort (Green tint)

I have a green tint on my blue tort I was wondering if anyone knows what causes it? Around four months ago I had a timer stick on my dosing pump and my Alk. got a little out of wack that's when I first noticed it. I thought it would of went away by now unless something else is causing it? Alk. went from 9.3 to 10.8 during the swing.

Got a pic??? Not uncommon to have a green base if that's what you mean.... Which tort is it???

could be a cali tort that will get green.. happened to me ..

+1 on the Cali tort. I think it looks good that way unless it's all green. When mine was a small frag it had a lot of green. Now that it's a bit grown up the green is mostly in the base. Could be a nutrient thing too though.

It's a ORA Blue Tort a small colony around 5"x5" and the green is all over it from the base to the stems. I only have a Cyber shot camera and it doesn't pick up the green on the photo

I have 2 different Cali Tort frags that were solid purple in the tanks I bought them for. Once they were in my tank for a few months, they both turned blue with a dark green body. I like 'em that way!

Cali Tort is supposed to be blue, with a green body. ORA Oregon Tort is the one that's completely blue, but I've seen it show as a deep purple. ORA Ice Tort is a very bright aqua-blue, in my tank. I'm not at all familiar with the "ORA Blue Tort."

Can't remember the history of it all but some of the blue torts out there are the same piece with different name. Even if it was an Oregon Tort high PO4 could make it green.

My Cali tort did the same thing. Got it as a nice colony and it browned out a bit in shipping. After a few months it was an awesome blue and green. Then I moved and lost it :( now it's all white.

My Cali tort is the same way, bright blue growing tips with a deep blue and glowing green base.

Here's the best I can do for a photo you can see some of the tint what looks white on the stems is actually light green tint

Yeah that looks like a cali tort. I picked up one that was a solid deep blue purple color and now little by little its turning green just like my cali tort.
