Hi,
I need help with the identification of this extremely dark blue type of Coral.
It is similar to an Ice Fire Echinata, but grows quite different and has a much darker blue in it.
All I know is it was from a frag which mother colony died in a tank crash in the Houston Katy area.
The original collector mentioned his frag was really expensive but he forgot the name of the coral.
This frag is grown since about two years.
It is extremely beautiful and unique and can't wait for the growth pattern the mommy had which it just started to do.
Very very easy coral honestly and very forgiveful, but overextremely slow in growth.
Another con it has, it needs at least 650-700 par, otherwise it greys out and darkens quickly.
I have Ice Fire Echinatas and they grow much faster, need less light and are much more sensitive, thats for sure!
Any help is appreciated.
