I wish I knew enough about LEDs to really comment. Looks very interesting, but I wonder if the colors are going to blend evenly. I think it would be a good way to add LEDs to my 6 bulb wide T5 fixture. I would probably want 6 of them for my 96" long tank. I would probably use the mid defused reflector. Drivers might be a nightmare if you need 4 for each one. If you could use 4 drivers for 6 fixtures that would be cool.

Tht why I want to get people point of view or perspective cuz I too want to incorporate this into my build with t5. Mainly cuz it has more LEDs chip n it looks simple enough with push in pins n also work with reflector. It the same price as nanobox chips but I'm not a big fan of soldering. I have a bad habit of switching things around n keeping it clean lol. I think u can run it as a series

I think they could be run is series too. Just don't know if 6 could be reliably. Just have to find the right drivers.

I've got one driver operating 2 pucks I'll post more on it as I get pics and I'll also give part numbers for the driver and the rest of the pieces I had to use also a heatsink is a MUST cooling fan wouldn't be a bad idea either I might include one before I do this final setup on my 20 gallon long aquarium

Awesome lights though better par and color blending and shimmering as well lights my tank better than my 55x3watt cheap Chinese fixture but the Acrostar 4 z are just for supplemental lighting sps are very demanding and these seem to have the right spectrum to make them happier. I should have went with them in the first place but weren't available when I switched to led

Are those .5 watt leds? Might be good for shallow tanks but not to sure about deeper tanks.

The smaller than a credit card 4 channel driver is available for beta testing if you're ok with mounting it to a heatsink, and can provide 5V PWM for dimming. I'm still iterating on efficiency and qualifying the analog inputs and firmware.

Happy to give out a demo unit or several - feel free to PM me if you're interested.

I am interested in trying your fixture on my 350 gallon semi cube which is 48"x48"x30" in size, I will need 5 or 6 of these pucks with glass lens to push the light through water for LPS on sand bed, I would like to try 1 unit on my tank before I decide buy 6 pucks and drivers, What is the size of the puck, I have some round large heat sinks which are 2.5" diameter and 5" in length which will be cooled by 12v high fans and on top of the fan there will be driver sitting on the fan which will hekp cool down the heatsink as well the driver. Do you think it is better to use your driver or Meanwell LDD drivers since I can control 2 channels on each driver to bring the cost down of drivers, I know I can run 12 pcs of 3w led's in series at 1000ma current. I am not sure if I can use your driver to do the same, If I could then I rather use your driver since it is smaller compact size. I will be using Coralux Strom controller to control all channels, I will post the entire build process with pictures on RC, MR and R2R, I have already build 48 "x 48" liquid cooled led which is lit bu 98 3w cree with all the colors available, I like to take that down to use on my 257 gallon fuge project and I will use pucks on my main tank as main light source.. Looking forward to hear back from you,

Rav
