Does it seem stuck open? Have you noticed any aggression from other fish? Sometimes in a fight, fish can break or dislocate their jaws.

Can you post a video of the fish? Sometimes, open mouths are caused by rapid breathing, so I wanted to check its breathing rate.

Groupers, lionfish and basslets/anthias are prone to a dietary deficiency that can cause "lockjaw". What foods have you been feeding it?
