I'm excited to be a new member here and anxious to relearn this saltwater aquarium hobby!
Years ago I began my saltwater aquarium addiction. I suppose it's better than gambling, although there are similarities! It's better than drugs, although there are downer and upper moments. And it beats alcoholism, though I do get a buzz when I begin to master the skills necessary to keep my under water friends alive!
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to keep going with my addiction until just recently.
My recent and greatest accomplishment was transitioning from my 60 gallon tank to my new 120 gallon tank. My BTA was not real happy about that move. 3 times I thought I was going to lose him/her/it....frequent deflating, open mouth, purging wastewater, stringy crud...all those signs that said it's a goner. I'm proud to say, it's thriving! Constant watch, regular feeds, the right lighting and frequent testing. Not bad for a rookie I say! Knock on wood because I'm tooting my horn, well, Murphy's Law always kicks in!
Now I'm working on bringing up calcium levels because I'm chompin' at the bit to add shrimp and other fun life forms.
So, along with my RBTA, I've got a pair of Clownfish, a pair of PJ Cardinals, a Neon Blue Chromis, a Powder Brown Surgeon and 2 SandSift Sea Stars. So far the harmony is perfect. Im looking for suggestions on what critters I can add too enhance this underwater habitat!
Here's what I've accomplished so far!
I look forward to sharing and receiving info and suggestions! 20201116_203244.jpg 20201116_203044.jpg 20201116_203244.jpg 20201116_203244.jpg 20201116_203044.jpg 20201116_203042.jpg
