I bought a Red Sea max nano g2 xxl last night as my first tank from Bulk Reef Supply. What should I expect about how shipping will work, and will they send me an email saying “we will drop it off x day”?

According the BRS shipping policy,

"Red Sea Drop Shipping
All Red Sea Aquariums are drop shipped directly from Red Sea and will be delivered within 1-3 weeks from the date they ship. Upon placing your order at Bulk Reef Supply, Red Sea will usually process the order within 1-3 business days. Once the order ships from Red Sea, a shipment number will be provided and the transport facility will call you to schedule an appropriate delivery window. Once the order is submitted to Red Sea, we cannot cancel any items on the order without a restocking fee being applied.

Red Sea tanks can be shipped to the contiguous 48 United States only."

I ordered the same tank through BRS 2 years ago. It’s going to take a while but they will provide details when the tank is going to arrive.

Yes, I have. I was told on R2R that a tank that small would have a hard time separating.
By who? I am sure it wasn’t @exnisstech who has a 33g in a junk pile in the back yard...
While it comes with a 3-5 year warranty. That excludes damage to fish, coral, and home...
I am normally not a nay sayer, but I would take the hit on the restocking fee and return it.
I am not trying to be controversial, just trying to be straight up.
Sorry

I'm sorry you were told that. And if you keep the tank I wish you the best.
Originally it was thought only large tanks were failing but that is not true. RS lied and said it was a stand design of the large tanks when in fact it's the silicone used that fails. Now it's euro bracing on the Gen 3 that is going to correct everything. I would suggest you do a search here or a Google search for RS failures and read through some. RS lied and is still lying. They denied the failures. Any FB member who asked about seam failures had their posts removed and were banned. Even if RS were to announce that they've corrected the problem and have changed the silicone being used their past behavior is reason enough to not buy from them IMO.
As mentioned the warranty will only cover the tank. No loss to livestock or home damage is covered. Home owners policy will not cover damages from a leaking aquarium unless you have a seperate rider. At least State Farm will not cover an aquarium leak.

My Gen 1 reefer 170.

And my solution.

My Gen 2 reefer 300 is failing different than the catastrophic failures many have seen but failing none the less. Algae loves RS silicone and destroys it. I have a Mariner MP100 ordered as a replacement because I'd rather swap tanks on my schedule not when water is running out onto the floor in the middle of the night.

The tank is still under warranty and this is RSs response when I requested warranty assistance.

PS. When I ordered my 300 it arrived at the lfs in less than a week. I think fast delivery is a selling point and why many retailers push RS tanks. I had the tank shipped to the lfs because RS wanted to charge a substantial fee for residential delivery even tho I have a fork lift and could unload the truck at the street. The lfs had two old guys who had to wrestle it off the truck. Made perfect sense to me lol
The lfs I bought from is no longer recommending redsea tanks after discussing the failures with his RS sales rep. He didn't tell me what was said but he told me he was no longer recommending them. He also services accounts and sets up new tanks.
