Different, but kinda looks like it has a virus or something.

nah my friends had the colony for 4 years now even before we made frags bubbles were all over it and its still going strong. couple of blastos in the tank with it and only this one type gets the bubbles like that

What the!? Have any more pictures? I'd love to see the whole colony. That is an interesting piece for sure...might have to trade you some of my gigantic blastos for some of your bubble blastos ;)

I have some that are doing the same thing. Someone said it could be from too much light. Mine open up like there happy and have been this way for at least 6 months or more.
It also seems to be more on the top where they are getting the most par.

There is another topic thread where a chalice is getting bubbles on it. It looks as though a bubble coral has popped up on a few areas.

I friend of mine had this happen to a few acan lords. But it went away after a couple of years. Wonder if it is an environment thing or a virus mutation. No different than adding a virus to plants to create variegated leaves or parrot type tulips.

You had my interest, but now you have my attention... Sick blasto! More pics please!

Huh, I've never seen blastos do that.
Looks cool for sure
