Bouncing back

My friend's tank crashed last week after water got into his uv. It killed almost everything, but I was able to make it over the next morning to try and save whatever I possibly could. Here are a few before & after pics with just 6 days of recovery.

I didn't do much. Lol It's cool to see how quickly some lps can go on recover mode after getting wrecked.

What surprised me is that many of the zoas didn't make it, and I've always found zoas to me more resilient to crashes. No sps survived. Only 3 fish, a pair of clowns and very large naso. It was horrible. He had like 11k invested

Ive had a real hard time getting one of mibe back to health. My pink coral before and after which is going on two months nelly.

How high in the tank do you have this and under what lights? It may be getting too much light. Also are you spot feeding at night?

Yes spot feeding at night but have jus ordered oyster feast as was feeding brine shrimp and reef roids. It did get damaged i havent been able to get it healthy since. I have illamagic lighting at the moment swapped over a month ago but had this problem before hand.... wud it make a difference if it laid on tbe sand bed?? Didnt want to put on sand bed incase it wasnt gonna b good for it

your problem might not be lighting. what are your nitrates, phosphates, salinity and temp?

I feed coral frenzy, brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, zooplankton and Kent accel.

I've never checked mag.

I don't check nitrates much, but every time I do it's hardly detectable. I haven't checked phosphates in forever. I feed heavy and skim heavy with lots of marco.
