Branching monti white spot

Noticed this yesterday. Might be a spot of die off? Will dip tomorrow just to be safe but interested to see if anyone has seen this or had experience with it.

No, nothing even close to it.

Dang that looks a lot like a Seriatopora. I would start inspecting the tank at night after the lights have been out for a couple hours, looking for limpets, nudibranchs just to make sure it's not a pest. Did any salt residue fall into the tank lately?

Not to hijack the thread but what can happen when salt residue or creep falls back in other than affecting the SG

No salt falling on it. I will keep my eyes open for pests. There is another green branching monti about 8-10 inches away that shows no problems. Thanks for the feed back.

Larger piece of salt creep can burn the mantle of clams and other corals leaving white areas, if the piece of salt lands on tissue. :)

Let me ask you this, do you have any Euphyllias coral like hammer, torch frogspawn, octospawns in your tank?
