Speaking of things people need. I’m thinking of adding more flow. I want mp40’s but not really in the budget for 2. What are other powerheads comparable to mp40’s , a little cheaper, good, comes with controller, long lasting, doesn’t require super frequent cleanings.

I’m not sure how much gph I would need, I’m after wide flow, strong is good but narrow and strong isn’t a need for my tank. The gyres are good but they aren’t doing it alone for sps, I’ve eliminated other issues, it has to be lack of flow.

@Hemmdog have you considered running one of your gyres vertical? Just a thought before you invest mo money.
Yea I’ve tried it, I don’t have enough surface agitation then and the top of the water gets this weird film on it.

I haven’t looked into them since they were released. I know they were eating fish for awhile, hopefully they fixed that lol. Anyone have experience with those? Are they wide flow?

Gotcha. Wow. I had no idea they had that much flow!
Yea. They really are great. I was looking at the display at my LFS yesterday. 2 40’s on a 120 long. It looks like there’s a tsunami going on in there! It stinks they are so much money. Maybe I could get one at a time? Lol
