Honestly, with our tendencies, I can't imagine needing a carbon reactor.

Easy: TWO bags of carbon!

there’s this really amazing SPS dominant tank on YouTube, this little Korean lady is keeping a 300g+ system and doses by hand once a day. No apex or anything, and she uses 2 panty hose to hold her carbon. Just has them floating in her sump lol
That's what I used in my fw. I stole my wife's and cut off the feet. It's a good thing she gave them too me.

Link your preference please.

These are the last ones I ordered. I use onron relays and still have a some if you want one.

I also ordered a waterproof project box to put it all in.

Did you DIY or is there something you would recommend?

Yes, I have been building the same setup for years and it always works flawlessly. I end up building them for others when they see mine.

I will definitely need an ATO. The one I have is not rated for this much water. I can top off manually until we get one though.

Y'all think 3 or 4 bags of sand?
How many pounds. I really like the Bahama oolite. Think of white sandy beaches and that is the sand. It awesome stuff especially for siding and sand sleepers

Im assuming 20lb bags. I used one bag in my 28g and have wished I used 1.5 for so long now. I got the really fine stuff from Carib sea. Been hesitant to add more, it will make such a mess.

It will clear quickly. Petco has it for 16.50 a 20lb bag. 10.99 for a 10lb bag. Bahama oolite. That's what I use. I love it.

Same here! Looks so beachy :)

plus, detritus stays on top, and you can easily get it out of the tank with a turkey baster + siphon
