Put them on and look at an empty tank. If its tempered than it will be black or dark ovals throughout the glass. Might need a white paper to block looking through and seeing the other panels. Make sure you look at all the sides because it maybe a combo of glass. Dont assume because one panel isn't tempered all are the same. Most of the time the bottom will be tempered to cut cost.

I figured, lol. Homeowners insurance covers my aquarium stuff if it breaks, I’ve found that easier than dealing with all these manufacturers.

Tampered is rated for sw too you just can't drill it .

Sorry, to say but that's not always the case.They may "claim" that but they dont. All 3 tanks I tested at my local fish store were suppose to be tempered bottom only and had no stickers but all 3 tanks had tempered for all the panels.

Correct, just make sure you test again or mark the side so you remember which one it is.
