I'm looking at a used sump on my local reefing forum, anyone have experience with Reef Octopus sumps?
Any reason for me NOT to buy this sump for $50-$60?
Dimensions are 24x12x16

I have never had one of their sumps, but it looks like a decent deal to me. Two 4" sock holders, room for a small skimmer and a return section. My only concerns would be bubbles getting through to the display (no bubble trap) and that float switch (assuming that is for an ATO) is kinda high for my peace of mind. That can all be remedied with some DIY later though. Make sure it has room for your heater. I'd give that much for it, if I had a small tank project going.

There is a lot I missed in the last 12 hours on this thread. Not surprised at all.

@Fin - my heart, although some say I lack one, goes out to your wife and you. I think it's truly a travesty that more is not allowed to be done with stem cells in the country. However, I won't go down that rabbit hole here. Just know I'll send some good vibes.
I think you might be the "hippiest" commenter on this thread.

@Musovski - there are some eels that are safer than others. That said, IMHO even the safe ones can be a big gamble. If you're set on it, have you considered a Cusk eel/snake? Some of them get really colorful and are typically pretty mellow.

@dantimdad - I'm always up for a block party!

@Robin Haselden - no RODI for coffee here but the water is double filtered so it's almost like RO water.

@fabutahoun - beautiful flowers!

And @sfin52 - see below...

Howdy there buckaroo! That might need some 'splainin' to some of us. :)
My wife and kids took me to Texas road house for bday dinner. They told the waiter it was my bday. No alcohol was involved.
