Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

[Hemmdog]

How does a 6 year old even know that as an option? That's the saddest thing I think I have ever heard.

+1
No more HBO

Thanks for inquiring! I simply had some things going on that made it hard to get on here. Perhaps I'll get more elaborate about it in the future but not today.
I did read all the comments I missed and had so many different thoughts and songs in my head I cannot recall them all.
Happy to be back and happy everyone seems to be doing well!

[siggy]

morning folks, some sad stuff there, reminds me that I have it so good and if your chatting hear you have it better than most. I just wish the kids could see it that way.

[dantimdad]

I wish they would get on here and talk to us before doing something awful.

I bet it was something they saw on you tube. Made it look like a game or something.
Or worse case somebody did it to them.

[sfin52]

I hope all is well with you. How's the daughters dancing competitions.

Welcome.
I also had an 8 gallon nano. I did a 1 gallon water change once a week. It was easy to do and kept the tank very healthy. I would stay away from the small protein skimmers, I’ve never had much luck with them. You should see if you can get a few sext shrimp. They are very small and look very cool.

Welcome to the group @russell13

Thanks for asking!

The last one didn't go very well, as her hip hop solo didn't score very high. Turns out that none of the hip hop solos scored very high and having one dance not score well negatively impacts final results. Apparently, according to scoring, the judges did not care much for hip hop. It was a bit devastating for Kyla as she scored exceptionally well in the previous 5 competitions. As a matter of fact, she won "Overall Title", which is the top performer for the entire competition, in 2 of the 5. We had a very good talk on the drive home and her sadness dissipated by the next day. Nationals will be coming up next month, I think, and that's the one where she really wants to do well.

Morning everyone! I am excited today. I bought some cycled Real Reef Rock and some more live sand on my way home yesterday to start the 20 long. I am hoping to get the rockscape done and the tank filled this weekend between all the Mothers Day celebrations. Happy mothers day to all the moms, stepmoms, and grandmoms out there. And a special mothers day to Shaft for being one bad mother!

I put three of those sexy shrimp in my large tank and we consider it a treat when we find the whole clan daily. I love inverts!
