Brand New 8 gallon bio cube

Good point, I would have forgotten all about that. I could see it now, tank is drilled (all excited) put the bulkhead in......doesn't fit.

NEVER ask me how I know this to be a true story. ;)

Guys I am learning along here. When drilling a hole in the bottom pane like this, what is minimum distance between another hole and from the side pane? Thanks!

As always I am late to the party, but I can see some discussion involving Ice Cream and Coffee!!! What is better than getting Ice cream and coffee while hanging out with @Katrina71 !

2x the glass thickness

Just found this "The general guideline for holes is that there should be minimum one hole diameter's distance between glass edges, either hole to hole, or hole to side/top edge of the glass, 1.5x the diameter being better/preferable. So if you are drilling 2" diameter holes, the tops of the holes should be at least 2" from the top of the tank and the sides should be at least 2" from the end of the tank or the nearest hole."

Nice! I am learning.

After much agony trying to decide, I am just going to KISS. It is staying Durso. 1.5" is not going to clog easily. There are many things to make it quieter too. I may regret my decision, but I made it.
