most of the fishing sunglasses are polarized. They allow one to see beneath the surface better.

Look at the sky on a sunny day is several spots and tilt your head let and right. The sky will change color.

They do this, and I can see remarkably well while it’s snowing and I’m driving, if that provides any clues lol. I don’t see markings on the lens. I bought them in person in sunglass hut, so I assume they are legit Oakley’s lol. I just thought all Oakley’s, especially ones over $130 would be polarized.

It is absolutely 100% true. If you take a laptop and put it on one side of the glass and then look at it from the other side of the glass through polarized sunglasses, tempered glass will have black blotches with areas that you can see through to the computer screen. If its non tempered it'll go completely black. I tested several tanks at my local fish store before purchasing one.

You can also break the porcelain off of a spark plug and lightly toss it against the glass. If it breaks into big sharp pieces it's not tempered. If it breaks into a bunch of little pieces and sounds like rice krispies for 15 seconds then its tempered. Just make sure nobody sees you doing this at your local pet store. They have an air tight 'you break it, you buy it' clause.

It just says they block uva, uvb, and uvc. Does that mean polarized? It’s made of violet iridium.

True story. There was a drug dealer that locked his keys in his car. He was making some less than nice comments about police officers being worthless because I told him we don't carry slim Jim's anymore. I told him I COULD get into his car for him. I also warned him the window might break the first time I try it...guess what? A spark plug will open it every time!
